Lilac pharma has developed one-step manufacturing method of PLGA nanospheres containing a water-soluble substance such as Camostat by using our customized iLiNP device.
The Camostat is a serine protease inhibitor and is approved as oral drug in Japan for treatment of chronic pancreatitis. It is also known as a potent inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2 infection in vitro.
As an example, we have successfully obtained the PLGA nanospheres containing Camostat as suspension in water. The encapsulation efficiency of the Camostat reaches >99%. It can be easily dried-up and become powder.
